Spectacular views of Lake Te Anau and surrounding mountains from BRAND NEW Marakura Motels, Terrace Motels, Kitchen Cabins, Tourist Flats, Cabins and Sites.  This is the original Holiday Park in Te Anau and has been owned and operated by the Tauri family for 50 years. The 10 hectare park is situated in the most scenic location of all and yet only a short walking distance to the town centre.  Our spacious terraced powered sites all have power, water and drainage.  Other services include coin-operated BBQs and internet, Sky TV lounge, sauna/spa bath, children's play ground and wireless internet. We operate the Piopiotahi Coach and Cruise to Milford Sound featuring 15 photo stop with a 2 hour Nature Cruise and an overnight cruise on Doubtful Sound featuring fishing, kayaking and sightseeing. Both adventures are for small groups. We also have an info centre on site to arrange your activity and tour bookings into Fiordland National Park.

BOOK YOUR FIORDLAND ACTIVITIES TODAY

If you don’t already know, Te Anau offers a range of exciting activity opportunities to compliment your stay with us in Te Anau. As a local booking agent our staff are trained to be able to offer suggestions and make reservations on your behalf – most trips we have experienced ourselves! In Te Anau you are very close to the famous southern fiords of Milford and Doubtful Sound, don’t miss your chance to visit these superb Natural environments.

Our most highly recommended activities which should be considered by all guests visiting are as follows:

TE ANAU ACTIVITIES: Te Anau Glowworm Caves, Horse Trekking, 4X4 Motor biking, Luxmore Jet 

MILFORD SOUND ACTIVITIES (allow a full day): You have the option to “self drive” or depart from Te Anau by “guided coach”, if you choose to self drive please be aware that you need to allow at least 2.5 hours to drive to Milford Sound from Te Anau, ensure you have a full tank of fuel and in the winter (or when snow is falling) you may need to carry snow chains with you in case they are required.

Nature Cruise, Scenic Cruise, Kayak, Overnight Cruise, Underwater Observatory. 

DOUBTFUL SOUND ACTIVITIES (allow a full day): Each journey has the option to depart from our office by guided coach (additional cost) or meet in Manapouri (20 minutes drive from Te Anau)
