Twin Coast Cycle Trail - Cross the Bay of Islands by bike. This trail is a total of 84 kilometers and runs from Horeke on the beautiful Hokianga harbour to Opua in the beautiful Bay of Islands. This ride is filled with history and mythology passing through early European and Maori villages. The ride goes along an old railway and through an 80 metre tunnel. You’ll ride by sparkling blue lakes, through native bush and through quaint towns. The entire ride will take 2 days and is graded easy.

The Hauraki Rail Trail - This trail is built around the old gold mining railway featuring a rich pioneering history. The highlight is the ride through the Karangahake Gorge along the river, over old bridges and through interesting tunnels. This is an easy ride and great for the entire family with plenty of place to stop and explore and get your toes wet in the river.
