Tokaanu Hot Pools

The Tokaanu Hot Pools are just 10 minutes from Turangi Kiwi Holiday Park and are a fantastic end to a hard day on the mountain doing the Alpine Tongariro Crossing, rafting the mighty Tongariro or a day out on some of our fabulous bike tracks.  Whatever you are doing you need to stop and soak those muscles and rejuvenate in the therapeutic waters of Tokaanu Hot Springs.

You can enjoy either the large public pool which is chlorinated and is around 36c -37c or our favourite is a family sized private pool which is natural mineral water and ranges from 39c – 41c “absolutely bliss”.

There is also a short but interesting walk right next to the pools, and it shows how volcanic the area is, bubbling mud pools and steam escaping from the earth always is exciting to see and learn about.
