Heart Pumping Day in Auckland
Sure Ackland and the region is filled with shopping, culture and plenty of night life. But what about adventure. A day in the big city can prove to really get the blood flowing. The waves are always better early in the morning so surfing and boogie boarding was "choice" at Piha Beach at the first crack of daylight.
The next phase to my thrilling day took me to SkyTower to the Skywalk. 192 metres high and walking around a narrow plank was very invigorating and comanded amazing views of Auckland and beyond. Still more adrenaline is needed so it's off to the Auckland Harbour Bridge for a Bungy jump. The thrill is not only in the terrifying jump but also the walk up the bridge. A double wammy of exhiliration.
Time for a relaxing lunch at the Viaduct Harbor before heading out on the enormous Americas Cup Boat for the sail of a lifetime. My day of excitment in Auckland ends with a trip to Eden park for a gripping game of Rugby from the All Blacks. What really got my heart pounding was the site of Danny Carter and a crushing All Blacks win!
