Introducing 3 New Kiwi Holiday Parks
We are excited to announce three new fantastic locations that we have recently added to the Kiwi Holiday Parks Collection. Now there are even more options for exploring New Zealand!
Stratford Kiwi Motels and Holiday Park (Taranaki)The most convenient holiday park to Mt Taranki, we are centrally located a thirty-minute drive from the Surf 45 Highway and New Plymouth. This park has flexible accommodations depending on your travel style and needs. You’ll be comfortable in a base that will give you access to everything from the great outdoors, Maori history, excellent dining, theatre and vibrant cultural centres – in this region you really can do it all.
Obviously not to be missed is Egmont National Park, which could keep you and the family entertained for weeks of hiking, climbing, walking and taking in the sites such as the magnificent Dawson and Victoria Falls. Agricultural tours are popular in this region as well. Feeling a bit more adventurous, why not book a Helicopter tour of the region? And if you are looking to wind down you can check out one of the areas golf resorts in the morning and then relax at one of our black sand beaches in the afternoon. Back Beach is a local favourite. Be sure not to miss out on a trip to the Country Music Hall of Fame and New Zealand’s only museum of Contemporary Art – Govett-Brewster.
Grumpy’s Kiwi Holiday Park Geraldine (Canterbury)A picturesque setting, Grumpy’s is nestled in New Zealand farming country and a short drive (or long walk) to charming Geraldine Village. Keep the family busy with farm tours, alpaca walks and day trips to the big trees of Peel Forest Park. If you love vintage cars you are in for a treat – be certain to block out an afternoon for this extensive museum, which also includes vintage farm and mechanical equipment. And do not miss a trip to Geraldine’s own observatory run by wonderfully knowledgeable local favourite Peter. Head to The Tin Shed to pick up a special souvenir made from New Zealand wool.
After you’ve spent the day exploring you can come back to enjoy our tennis courts, swimming pool, BBQ and games room. If the kids still aren’t tired send them out to expend that extra energy on our very own Jumping Pillow.
Lornville Lodge (Southland)Invercargill’s most adorable Kiwi Holiday Park is set inside a farm with friendly sheep and alpaca, conveniently located off the Southern Scenic Route. This region abounds with loads of free and family friendly activities. With over 80 hectares of nature, Queens Park is not to be missed, but don’t forget smaller Optepuni Gardens and Anderson Park, the later surrounds a 1925 Georgian style mansion and boasts a fantastic children’s playground. Oreti beach is a wonderful place for spend the day. The area around Invercargill’s is a mountain biking hot spot – be sure to check out Sandy Point. Speaking of bikes – there are a few speciality museums: Classic Motorcycle Mecca, E Hays and Sons and Bill’s Transport World. More culture can be soaked up at Southland Museum and Art Gallery which features natural and human history. The highlight are the museum’s tuatara, over one hundred year old living reptiles which are fed once a week – be sure to check the museum’s website for times. Fuel and up and unwind at Invercargill’s local brewery.
