Havelock Holiday Park

Havelock, located at the gateway to the Pelorus Sounds, calls itself the Greenshell Mussel Capital of the World – in response to the huge numbers of international visitors that call in to try this taste sensation. Once home to Sir Ernest Rutherford – the first man to split the atom and rocket scientist William Pickering, this tiny town houses a local history museum, boutique art gallery and a great selection of restaurants that compete with those provided by larger centres. The Havelock Marina is the home of the water taxis, fishing charters and the world famous Pelorus Mail Boat which all provide great ways for visitors to see and experience the beautiful waterways in the area.


Right in the middle of it all is Havelock Holiday Park – close to everything but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet; the perfect spot! Be warmly welcomed by Yvette and Murray into a clean, spacious area with amenities for all members of the family – including a BBQ area, skate park, playground, tennis court and petanque pitch.

Cabin accommodation is comfortable and homely, and tent and camper sites are available. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campsite. One thing that sets Havelock Holiday Park out from the rest – we are pet friendly. Your furry family members are welcome into the grounds if you’re staying in a tent or camper, so they can enjoy a holiday with you too. 

If Havelock is the gateway to the Pelorus sounds, then Havelock Holiday Park is the gateway to adventure and exploration or relaxation and rejuvenation. With access to bush walks (we suggest Nydia Track or the Queen Charlotte Track), cycling tracks, boat trips, wine trips, Greenshell Mussel experiences and more, there is no excuse not to spend some time here.
