See the Sea to Cathedral Cove

The Glass Bottom Boat’s 2hr scenic cruises will take you to the beautiful Cathedral Cove and stunning volcanic coastline. Visit the Te Whanganui –A-Hei Marine Reserve and watch the marine life through the glass or take the leap and go for a snorkel.

It has been a fantastic summer! The sea has been flat, the water has been super clear and we have been seeing a large amount of marine life. With the amazing weather Cathedral Cove has been buzzing with plenty of visitors. Cathedral Cove is a must do when in the Coromandel and is a beautiful sight, especially from the water. We have been cruising down the coast to explore the spectacular rock formations in Champagne Bay and into Orua’s Sea Cave, the 2nd largest sea cave in New Zealand. Going into this cave is a definite highlight.

The water has been crystal clear this season making it perfect for snorkeling. The big schools of snapper in Gemstone bay and the schools of blue mou mou in the caves have been keeping the snorkelers entertained

This has been he season for orcas and dolphins with at least 10 sighting so far. There have been some wondering interactions with one pod of orca coming up toglass bottom boat the boat and looking at us though the glass and show us their catch of stingray. Such amazing experiences leaving all the Glass Bottom Boat guests with lifetime memories.
