| Taranaki Rhododendron and Garden Festival | Welcome to the Taranaki Rhododendron and Garden Festival. As the initiator and organiser of the event for the first 12 years, it gives me great pleasure to see how the event has recently developed and grown to become New Zealand's premier and largest garden festival. As a visitor you will have the opportunity to see gardens of both international and national significance, both large and small, some specialising in rhododendrons and some with not a rhododendron in sight. All exhibit the care and dedication that only those who love growing things can provide. The hospitality of Taranaki's garden owners is what makes this event unique.
This year the Festival will have a number of extra special events and you will even have the opportunity to be educated and entertained by those you see on TV!
